We had a January thaw last week. The fence had been raised up for the previous snows. The gilts (Marigold, Violet and Gertrude) realized that this left the fence vulnerable. We thought the girls were tall enough that it shouldn’t be an issue, but when we were repeatedly greeted by porcine adventurers, it was clear that they were not being contained by it. Luckily for us, Winter came back!! The gilts are now well contained with electricity and snow fencing. We’re looking forward to another storm this weekend to get the cross country ski trails in good shape and groomed. Let the winter continue! Pictures hopefully to follow!
