http://gowstakeout.com/?feed=rss2 December 2017 decided to show off its winter stripes with a phenomenal snowstorm. With about 12 inches of perfect snow, we have a solid base in the woods and pastures.
All of the creatures on the farm are enjoying it…except the chickens who prefer only plowed or shoveled areas, and only in the sunshine.
The piglets especially enjoy romping through the snow, chasing each other. 
Eleanor has tried out her cross country skis and got new snowshoes today! She tried them out and then helped Jeremiah pack the trails on our field loops. Jeremiah and I skied the loops by headlamp this evening, and they were exceptional….there are a few spots with some serious zooming potential!
